Wider Impact has been commissioned to by Staffordshire Young People’s Service to research young womens’ involement in physical activity and competitive sport.

Objectives of the commission include, to:

• form an understanding of the involvement of young women age 13 to 19 years in physical activity in the national context
• gain a greater understanding of the particular issues facing young women in Staffordshire
• learn from partners and other agencies with repect to successful engagement of young women in sport and physical activity
• produce a report evaluating the current position and suggesting ways forward
