Wider Impact has been delighted to support the Birmingham & Black Country Fair Share Trust, the Saltwells Nature Reserve Support Group and Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council deliver a series of Projects aimed at preserving the Salwells Nature Reserve for future generations.

Projects have included supporting / capacity building local groups / people, physical improvements to pathways, developing and building ‘Kissing Gates’, Nature Trails, installing bat boxes and bespoke signage; all of which will be enjoyed and cherished children and community members for many years to come.

Projects funded by Fair Share Trust can be viewed on a ‘unique and inspirational video link’showcasing the Nature Reserve (see, which has been overseen and project managed by Wider Impact.

Birmingham & Black Country Community Foundation Interim CEO Shamiela Ahmed, whose organisation has delivered the Fair Share Trust Projects says, ‘We are so proud of how the Saltwells Nature Reserve Support Group has led on the Projects aimed at preserving the Nature Reserve for future generations, and of the role the Fair Share Trust and the Foundation has played in supporting local people deliver local and sustainable Projects such as this. The video project managed by Wider Impact is special and inspirational, and will encourage many more people to visit and support such a wonderful place’.
