We have been made aware of the following funding:

The-Law-SocietyThe next deadline for applications to the Law Society Charity grants programme is the 11th November 2016.

The Charity provides grants of between £5,000 and £15,000 to voluntary sector organisations whose work is related to the law and the legal profession for projects that:

• Promote human rights

• Provide access to justice

• Provide legal education

Priority is particularly given to projects that promote the needs of excluded, under-represented or disadvantaged groups and minorities.

If you ask for more than this any grant will be scaled down to below £15,000. We may regard your asking for a very large amount as an indication that the project and your hopes for funding it, are unrealistic, and reject it on that basis.

Grants are usually on a one-off basis, but can occasionally be spread over two or three years. Applications which do not on their face seem to fall within the Charity’s objectives will not be considered.

I trust this is useful and ask that you do not hesitate to circulate as you feel appropriate.

Kindest regards

Edwin :-)
