I have just received this request from SASSOT:

SASSOT BOARD MEMBERS VACANCIES

Tuesday 20th February 2018

We are seeking new Board Members…

Could you be instrumental in enhancing our impact?

Sport Across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent (SASSOT) is a high-performing County Sports Partnership, bringing partners to work together to create active places and healthy lives through physical activity and sport. SASSOT is currently on a positive journey of change, with a new Chair and leadership team, completion of a governance review and development of a new strategy for 2018-2021. The aspiration of the Board is for SASSOT to become a progressive, adaptable and thriving organisation, with a visionary Board at its helm.

We are looking for new Board Members to help steer SASSOT through this exciting period of transformation. These voluntary roles will help to ensure we continue to embrace the changing sport and physical activity landscape, both locally and nationally.

We are particularly looking for applicants with strengths in commercial innovationcustomer insightrisk management or physical activity programme measurement and evaluation. However, we welcome applications from anyone with a successful track record of leadership and management at a strategic level, and an excellent network of local business contacts who will help us achieve our vision of Everyone More Active More Often.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Malcolm Armstrong, Chair of SASSOT, on 07825 415153.

A job pack is available to download here: Recruitment Pack

Closing: Friday 16th March at 12 noon

SASSOT is committed to ensuring that our Board Membership and Leadership are fully reflective of the diverse communities that we serve, and we therefore encourage applications from all sections of these communities.

I trust this is useful and ask that you circulate ‘far and wide’ via your own social media outlets.

Kindest regards

Edwin  :-)
